THE DAY
The work party will start at Weevil between 8 am and 9am, Wicor at 9am. Lunch will be provided for all at around 1pm, and there will be beverages and snacks served throughout the morning. On arrival please sign in and put on a name label. Facilitators will point you in the direction of your team leader.
There will be a boat jumble between 11am and 12. Bring your surplus kit for sale marked with your name and price. The jumble team will sell on your behalf or pass on offers.
The work party is a good time to tidy the POG site, unmarked kit will be placed in a pile for disposal . So please make sure anything you have left on site has your name on it, or it will go!
Dinghies licensed to be in the racks will be moved to their allocated slots. Those not licensed will be put in a pile for disposal.
The electricity shop will be open so that you may get your meter card or top up your existing one.
I am hoping that Paul White (an RNLI Safety Officer), will again be on hand if you would like to check your life jackets to ensure they are serviceable. ( This is a free service).
We look forward to seeing you all, if you are not happy with your job allocation, it can be changed on the day.
EXPECT CHANGES AND ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO VOLUNTEER IN 2025
For 2025, we expect to be able to offer you a selection of opportunities to contribute to POG including other rostered work opportunities as an alternative to the usual Spring and Autumn work parties.
