Results of the Nab 'n' Back Race

A total of 10 boats from several clubs converged on the Portsmouth Sailing Club racing mark off Haslar sea wall at 10am yesterday, all manoeuvering in light winds to cross the line as soon as possible after the 'gun'. This made for a competitive start, but the fleet rapidly spread out thereafter, with those boats sporting spinnakers and cruising chutes making speedier inroads into the long downwind leg to the Nab. Unfortunately the wind died away as the later boats approached the Nab, causing 4 boats to retire, but 6 did well to complete the course, with Stitch taking the honours from among the POG entries. Altogether a very pleasant day out.
