The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is on the lookout for adventurous sailors, yet no previous sailing experience is required. Have you got what it takes?
This event is for those eager to test their limits beyond belief and find out how they can take part in the next race edition. Come and hear about it from someone who has been there, stared Mother Nature in the eye and taken all she can muster. Hosted by Clipper Race Crew Alumni and Crew Recruitment Director, Chris Harris.
You will find out more about the selection process, training, the race, the fleet, stopovers, personal logistics and most importantly the race crew. You'll either walk away inspired or scared. One thing you won't be is bored.
About the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race
The Clipper Race is one of the biggest challenges of the natural world and an endurance test like no other. With no previous sailing experience necessary, this is a record breaking 40,000 nautical mile race around the world on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht. All that is asked of participants is a good level of fitness, an age over 18 - and a thirst for adventure into the unknown.
Divided into eight legs and up to 16 individual races, over 700 race crew, representing over 50 nations and from all walks of life, complete the full circumnavigation or select individual legs. It is the only race in the world where the organisers supply a fleet of identical racing yachts, each with a fully qualified skipper to safely guide the crew. Short biography
Ella Nieper is the second generation to take part in the race after her uncle circumnavigated in 1996. Ella was a business analyst looking for a bit of adventure and the opportunity to travel. She completed 3 legs of the 2023-24 Race on board Our Isles and Oceans and has now joined the Recruitment Team.
